Defense Procedure
Each student will have at least 20 minutes to defend, there are 3parts in your defense as listed below:
*Part 1: no less than 10 minutes’ presentation ( PPT is optional)to introduce your thesis including but not limited to research content, methodology, findings, innovative points etc.
*Part 2: no less than 10 minutes Q & A: defense panel will ask you some questions and you should answer immediately.
About part 1 and part 2:If you can’t have good internet,please make a video of your presentation and send to Sally.You will receive questions in the 钉钉 group and send out your respond into the group by texting when you get your answers readyduring the day.
*Part 3: After each group finishes the defense, the defense panel discusses the result and vote. Only the students who have at least 4 votes of pass can pass the defense.The panel will vote by Using QQ app voting function.
************Please note:
The defense result for everyone will be released another day in the morning.
On the second day after the defense, you will receive papers of “ZJNU Thesis Problem Form” and on the paper the defense panel members will point out some key problems of your thesis which need you to further revise. After the defense, you need to continue to revise and the department will collect your revised thesis with revision summary and organized another review on your revised thesis to check whether you have followed the defense panel’s suggestions to revise. The review schedule will be released later.

Students attend online defense please download Dingtalk app,and then scan the group code of 2018 IMBA.Sally will set you inside the group and call up for defense.If you can’t have good internet,please make a video of your presentation.
